Solution:

Checked Metalink for message ‘Could not start Service Manager’. Checked Metalink Doc ID:  423170.1 (Subject:  Concurrent Manager Fails to Start Because of a ‘Could not start Service Manager FNDSM__’ Error)

To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

1. Download and apply patch 3830807: ” PATCH 3293983 NEEDS TO INCLUDE ALL THE MAKEFILES UNDER THE 8.0.6 ORACLE_HOME”.

2. Launch adadmin and choose the task to relink all product executables.

3. Startup the Concurrent Manager.

The Concurrent Manager should start without any errors. There should be no errors in the 8.0.6 listener log file.

Troubleshooting:

In Command Prompt, stopped the PSEMHUB profile with the following commands:

set PATH=%PATH%;E:PSOFTFS900webservPSOL_fsdmoinstalledAppsPSOL_fsdmoNodeCellPSOL.earPSOL.warWEB-INFlibwinx86;E:PSOFTFS900veritywinx86_nti40bin

cd /d E:PSOFTFS900webserv

PSEMHUB_fsdmobinstopServer.bat server1 -profileName PSEMHUB_fsdmo

Moved all the files in E:PSOFTFS900webservPSEMHUB_fsdmologsserver1 to backup_20081127a.

Then restarted the PSEMHUB profile:

set PATH=%PATH%;E:PSOFTFS900webservPSOL_fsdmoinstalledAppsPSOL_fsdmoNodeCellPSOL.earPSOL.warWEB-INFlibwinx86;E:PSOFTFS900veritywinx86_nti40bin

cd /d E:PSOFTFS900webserv

PSEMHUB_fsdmobinstartServer.bat server1 -profileName PSEMHUB_fsdmo

Solution:

Apply patch 5035661:

A. Applying the patch on the iAS $ORACLE_HOME:

———————————————-

1.Unzip the patch into the <iAS ORACLE_HOME> directory:

unzip -od <iAS ORACLE_HOME> p5035661_11i_<PLATFORM>.zip

ie: unzip -od /u01/oracle/prodora/iAS p5035661_11i_LINUX.zip

2.Source the Apps environment file :

On Unix/Linux, execute <APPL_TOP>/APPS<SID>_<hostname>.env

On Windows, execute <APPL_TOP>Envshell.cmd.

If the environment file is not available, please make sure the environment variable ‘APPL_TOP’ is set.

3.Change directory to the <iAS ORACLE_HOME>/appsoui/setup

4.Execute the perl script OUIsetup.pl:

perl OUIsetup.pl

NOTE:

In the case of a Multi-Node instance, the above process should be repeated on the <iAS ORACLE_HOME> of each Node.

unzip -od /u0/oracle/testora/iAS/ /u0/patches/p5035661_11i_LINUX.zip

. /u0/oracle/testappl/APPSTEST_ebusinesstest.env

cd /u0/oracle/testora/iAS/appsoui/setup/

AD Java Key will now create a signing entity for you.
Please enter the name of the entity you wish to create [Customer] :
After creating the signing entity, a certificate will
be created for signing jar files locally.  You can specify an
organization to be used in identifying the certificate.
Please specify an organization to be assigned to the certificate [DEFAULT_ORG] :
Created identity [Signer]Customer[identitydb.obj][trusted]
Generated DSA keys for Customer (strength: 512).
Generated certificate from directive file /u0/oracle/prodappl/admin/out/adcert.txt.
Your digital signature has been created successfully and
imported into the javakey identity database. This signature
will now be used to sign Applications JAR files whenever
they are patched.

Grants missing after applying patch 6502082

Problem: The following error occurs when applying patch 6502082 for the second time:

AutoPatch error:

Your database is missing important grants on SYS objects.

To fix this:

1) Log on as the database server owner, and set your environment for maintaining your database server.  Create a directory called $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/admin and copy $APPL_TOP/admin/adgrants.sql to that directory.

2) Connect to the database as the SYS user and run adgrants.sql passing the name of the schema containing FND tables. For example, if the schema that contains FND tables in your database is called APPLSYS, you would run adgrants.sql as follows:

$ cd $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/admin

$ sqlplus /nolog

SQL> connect / as sysdba

SQL> @adgrants.sql APPLSYS

Solution: Perform steps listed above

FAILED: file affurgol.sql on worker 1

Problem: When applying patch, the following error appears:

ATTENTION: All workers either have failed or are waiting:
