To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:

1. Be sure to have a valid backup.

2. Open an environment shell and set the Applications Environment

3. cd $AD_TOP/bin

4. perl <AD_TOP>/bin/adgentns.pl appspass=<APPSpwd> contextfile=<CONTEXT> -removesystem

5. Open a new shell and set the Database Environment

6. Run adconfig at the dbTier

7. Open a new shell and set the Applications Environment and also run autoconfig at the appsTier

Solution:

1. Batch server was running. Stopped batch server and restarted the CopyUpdateProject step.
2. Batch server started, and then restarted the CopyUpdateProject step.
3. Application server was running, stopped it and then restarted the CopyUpdateProject step.

(Advised by consultant) Skipped this step as it was previously deployed under IBM WebSphere.

Problem:

When running AutoConfig on application tier:

Problem:

Cannot complete applications logon.  You may have entered an invalid applications password, or there may have been a database connect error.

Solution:

Use Metalink Doc ID: 153053.1 to reset the SYSADMIN password to WELCOME.

Internal Server Error

Problem:

Internal Server Error when trying to log in to Oracle Applications

Solution:

Ran out of tablespace. Checked alert log to tablespaces to extend.

Installing PSEM Agent as Windows Service

1) Update the configuration.properties file.

2) Open Command Prompt, navigate to PS_HOMEbinclientwinx86 and enter:
PSEMAgentService /install PS_HOMEPSEMAgent

3) In Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services, a new service called PeopleSoft Environment Management Agent-8.46.xx appears.

4) Adjust the logon parameters by right-clicking the service and choosing Properties.

5) To uninstall the service, open Command Prompt and type:
PSEMAgentService /uninstall

AutoConfig taking long on database tier

Problem:

Running AutoConfig on the database tier of the ebusinesstest machine takes long (over 20 minutes).

Solution:

Log file (/u0/oracle/testdb/9.2.0/appsutil/log/TEST_ebusinesstest/03161419/adconfig.log) showed:

Reran AutoConfig on the database tier and it completed under one minute. ‘illuminatnm.com’ domain remains in context file.

When logging on to HRMS Production instance as SYSADMIN, the following message is displayed:

Solution:

Log on to the HRMS Production server. Check the alert log for any ORA errors by issuing the following commands:
